Cornell Sustainable Blend was designed as an espresso blend for Cornell University: an astounding creamy body, mellow fruited acidity, and flavors of stone fruit and milk chocolate. It performs equally well as brewed coffee. Sold in 2 lb and 5 lb bags.
Ithaca Coffee Company builds this blend from dry-processed Ethiopia Sidamo and wet-hulled Sumatra Mandheling. As espresso, Ithaca notes aromas of semisweet chocolate and almonds with peach and cherry flavors and milk chocolate.
As brewed coffee it makes a rich cup with lots of body and mellow acidity: deep bittersweet chocolate with a sweeter side of caramel, buckwheat honey and malty graham cracker.
