Organic Dark Roast Coffee

Looking for organic dark roast coffee? Every coffee here is a dark, medium-dark or very dark roast that its roaster lists as certified organic, from Thanksgiving Coffee, Artizan, Nossa Familia, Tomorrow's Coffee, Centri and Kicking Horse.

How to choose

• Organic: All are organic, and many, like Bee Bold, Old Town French and Artizan's Guatemala, are also Fair Trade.
• Taste: For the darkest cups, try Noyo Harbor French (smoky, very dark), Old Town French (intense), Centri's West Coast Roast (extra dark) or Thanksgiving's very dark Sumatra. For a little less roast, Camila's or Artizan's Stout, both medium-dark. Single-origin darks include Guatemala and Nicaragua.
• Whole bean or ground: Most come whole bean or ground for drip, French press or espresso. Kicking Horse Grizzly Claw is whole bean only.
• Bag size and value: Try a 10 oz or 12 oz bag first. Tomorrow's Guatemalan and Nicaraguan also come in 1 lb bags, and Camila's in a 2 lb bag. Most also come in 5 lb bags, around $19 to $22 a pound, the best value per pound here.

Every coffee here is fully caffeinated; we don't sell decaf.
